Is gift giving a great pleasure or heavy pressure? The attitude towards this question varies from person to person.

For the part of numerous people, in a way, it’s really an unbearable burden to make every effort, on every festival or anniversary, thinking about that what to give is not out of proportion. In order to send a well-prepared gift, usually you should be deep in thought for over a month as well as expend a large quantity of energy or money, to prevent your heart from sinking.

Meanwhile, from others’ standpoint, actually gift giving is incredible joy, for nothing in the world can be better than the satisfaction of whom you treasure. On seeing the broad smile the gift receiver wears when opening the gift, it’s likely for you to have the sense that everything you do deserves it. When your behavior is approved by others with the display of delight, you will have a feeling of happiness from the bottom of your heart.

From my perspective, gift giving is more a pleasure than pressure, as I have a personal experience. When I prepared for a birthday gift for one of my best friends, I went back to hometown for it and spent four months to decide what to write on birthday card. But when I delivered the gift to her in person, I was filled with the emotion of excitement, relaxation and cheerfulness, for she finally knew what I wanted to express.

In my opinion, not only should we enjoy the significance in the gift, but also the process of gift making and giving. The true essence of gift giving is not simply

giving a symbol of something but exchanging the real affection. In this point of view, I should admit that gift giving is an irreplaceable pleasure.
