While we are still children, most of us live at home with our parents, more or less peacefully. But 16 we become teenagers, things change, and we begin to grow apart from our parents. This means we are almost ready to leave the house where we grow up and make a new home 17 our own.
All humans must do this, but they don’t all do it in the same way. If,for instance, you belonged to a primitive tribe(原始部落), then as you grew up,you would learn the 18 you needed as an adult — how tocatch fish, how to keep house and look after children. You would be ready to marry in your early teens and you would build a house and 19 near your family in the village.
This seems a very old way of life, but it is what humans have been 20 to through hundreds of years. And it is what we are still used to in the 21st century, for manhasn’t changed in the short time. But could you leave home and 21 yourself during the teen years? Most people would not do very well. Why? Because although man hasn’t changed very much, the society he lives in has changed greatly, which means that we have to learn more and more 22 we are ready to leave our parents’ shelterand live alone .
However, sometimes it is a little unpleasant to live at parents’ home. Parents can be very upset about late nights, criticizing(挑剔) friends and always 23 that we are noisy and dirty. But we still need our emotional(情感的) shelter till we finish our studies, and that is 24 we usually stay in our parents’ home until we feel grown up enough to deal with 25 alone. ( )16. Ever since I was a little child, my parents have told me to be honest because it is the right thing to do. As I got older, I realized something very important. If just once you are deceitful and tell a lie, it will greatly change people’s opinions about you and their way of acting toward you. When you tell a lie, you lose that person’s trust forever or have to work your whole life to get it back.
It is my personal goal to achieve great things in life and honesty(诚实) will sure help me get there. For me right now losing somebody’s trust would be a truly terrible thing. My parents would be stricter on the things they let me do and the places that they used to let me go to. My friends would never again tell me a secret or believe many things I told them. Whatever you do for a living or wherever you live, honesty is something very important.
Honesty gets you much higher in life while telling a lie can make you get into more problems. I can already tell that the great people I have met so far are all honest people. I hope that I’ll never fall into a situation where I’ll lie. Honesty is just as important to me as my family. Already, I know it is something that will improve my future and my relationship with all people. It is something about myself that I hope never to lose no matter what happens. Honesty will help me no matter whether I’m at school, home or just hanging out with friends. It is something that I hope my children will also have and value.

( )34. What does the writer want to tell us in the passage? A.Ways to be honest.
B.Honesty is very important for us to achieve our goals. C.True friendship is based on(以…为基础) others’ trust.
D.Honesty can make us live a happy life. ( )35:How is the text mainly developed?

CCTV cameras watch action In UK, Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras are everywhere. They help the police solve crimes and keep the streets safe. But that’s not all they do . They also catch people doing very stupid or smart things. One of the videos is of a British woman Mary Bale. She clearly doesn’t like cats. In 2010 she was caught on CCTV throwing one into a dustbin. The video shows Mary walking down a quiet street. All of sudden , she notices Lola the cat jump onto a fence. Mary stops to pick up Lola and drops her into a large dustbin . Lola was saved fifteen hours later. And Mary was arrested for causing unnecessary suffering to an animal . She was fined ( 罚款)£250 and was not allowed to own pets for five years. Another video shows “ Britain’s drunkest man” . He’s been at a party at London’s Savoy Hotel. And he’d obviously had a few too many glasses of beer. At about 2 a. m. , he was kicked out for being too drunk . So, he decided to walk home. On the way , CCTV cameras filmed him falling down stairs and crossing the roads madly… A Savoy Hotel waiter said, “ It’s amazing he didn’t hurt himself badly.” Sometimes they also record smart events. Once a British band The Get Out Clause didn’t have any money to make a music video. So they came up with an unbelievable idea. They set up their instruments ( 乐器) and played a song in front of eight CCTV cameras. And then, according to the English Freedom of Information Act , they asked for a copy of all the footages ( 视频) , which they edited.
