摘要：A control data transmission and reception period of, for example, 1 ms isprovided for each frame of a digital broadcast signal. The digital broadcast signal isintermittently transmitted. In the intermittent transmission, the transmitting device stopsthe digital broadcast signal from being sent during the control data transmission and

reception period. At the same time, control data is transmitted during the control datatransmission and reception period. In other words, a beacon signal is sent from atransmitting device to a wireless television receiver as control data, between theintermittent transmissions of the digital broadcast signal. Having received the beaconsignal, the wireless television receiver returns a request signal to the transmitting device.As a result, communication between the transmitting device and the wireless televisionreceiver can be established.
